Blood vs, Water

Before I begin this story I think I should tell you a little bit about the characters involved.  David is a 12-year-old boy, who lives in Brooklyn, New York.  He is going out with Kera.  He has red hair, a little short and is a good fighter.  Kera is also a 12-year-old and lives in Brooklyn as well.  She has brown eyes and dark Brown hair.  Although she thinks it’s Auburn.  Larry is a 15-year-old boy who lives in Lakewood, Ohio but he was staying in his habitat in Brooklyn at the time of this story.  He is Kera’s second cousin and they are very close.  Now that you know the characters let’s begin.

On an early April day in Brooklyn New York Kera and David had woken up.  They were feeling really refreshed.  They decided to take a walk. All of a sudden David became curious about what Kera thought of his fighting ability.  He had fought for Kera before and he was a little overzealous, he said to Kera, “Honestly do you think I’m a good fighter?”

                Kera responded “Yes why?”

“I don’t know I’m just curious some girls hate guys that fight for them”

Kera realized that if that were the real reason the question he asked was inappropriate but said “Not me, if I’m in trouble I’m very thankful for someone to defend me.”

“Am I the best fighter you know?”

Kera rolled her eyes and said, “David why are you asking these questions?

“I want to know,” he said rather challengingly

She looked away and said really softly, “Yes”

“I’m not am I? Who do you think is better than me?”

“Cut it out, you have nothing to prove”

He stepped closer and asked again this time very aggressively, “Tell me who you think is better”

Kera was frightened she knew David wouldn’t hit her but she was still scared, “Well just because he’s three years older than you, Larry”

                “Your cousin”

                “Yes”

“Alright you’re entitled to your opinions,” he said looking away

“Are you going to start something with him? Because if you are please don’t”

“Kera you know me” he said with a smile then left and went toward the habitat (Where he and Kera lived)

Kera knew exactly what he was going to do he was going to challenge Larry.  David knew that she knew this and he wanted her to come so he had a witness.  Sure enough Kera followed him to the habitat.  David walked into Larry’s room and shoved him.  Larry took one step back from the blow and wanted to know what was going on.  David then punched Larry in the stomach, and Larry knew he had to fight back.  He punched David squarely in the nose.  David backed up four steps, and Larry tackled him football style, which in wrestling is known as a “double leg takedown.”   Kera ran out of the room, she didn’t want to witness two people she cared about so much fighting each other.  Larry picked up David, grabbed him by the back of the head and threw him into the wall.  David’s nose began to bleed.  Larry was pissed off at this point.  He landed punches in David’s kidneys forcing David to one knee.  He lifted him up, bent David’s head down, bent his elbow over it and crashed David’s head straight into the ground and having David flip over.  This move is known as a “DDT.”  Larry started walking away but David had some fight left in him.  He charged at Larry and took out his legs.  Larry crashed back nailing his head on the ground.  David’s agility was in use as he leaped onto Larry’s shoulder and tried to punch him.  Larry grabbed his arm and yanked him off.  David got up and charged.  Larry bent down wrapped his arms around both of David’s legs and lifted up.  David was now over Larry’s shoulders.  Larry then grabbed the legs and pulled them toward his body while he threw his chest and waist forward causing the upper half of David’s body to slam against the ground.   This move is known as the “Spinebuster.”  David started rolling on the ground in pain when Larry stomped on his hip.  David lay flat on his back.  Larry climbed up on his bed and leaped off it landing on David’s stomach.  David spit on impact and started gargling for breath.  He was choking on his own blood but Larry didn’t want to stop.  Kera had come back to see if it was over and she saw David laying on the ground choking on his own blood.  (Choking on blood is not the same as choking on food or another object it just impales your breathing but it will not force you unconscious or kill you.).  Larry didn’t want to stop here and picked up David, he was about to do something when Kera ran in and Larry let David fall on the bed.  She hugged Larry in desperate fear and to hold him back.  Larry calmed down and cleaned the blood off of David.  When the bleeding had stopped he put him in his bed and let him rest.  Kera didn’t want this to happen again.  I mean it’s a lose- lose situation for her.  If David won, her family and friend is injured and if Larry won-which he did- her boyfriend whom she cares about deeply is injured.  While David was sleeping Larry pulled Kera aside and asked, “What was that all about?”

Kera responded, “Don’t worry about it”

“I’m afraid I can’t do that, why did your boyfriend attack me?”

“Please leave me alone about it” she said kind of whining

Larry felt bad so he lightened his tone “Kera, I need to know why?”

“He wanted to prove he was the best fighter to me, he asked if he was the best fighter I knew and I tried lying but he didn’t believe me and he got your name out of me so he wanted to challenge you”

“Ok, I just hope he doesn’t keep coming at me”

                “Me too”

After that it was peaceful between David and Larry.  They never got in a serious fight again.

life saved

Before I begin this story I think you should know the people involved.  Matt is a junior in high school, and lives in Westlake, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland.  He is 5’9” dyed sandy colored hair, Brown eyes and 50% Greek, the other 50% is unknown by both him and his parents.  His dad doesn’t know what background he is, he converted to Greek Orthodox and the way their family acts they seem like a Greek family.  He is going out with Yeketerina, She is 5’6” with Blond hair and blue eyes.  She also lives in Westlake and is also a junior.  Larry has been best friends with Matt for almost 10 years, he is stubborn, 5’11” green eyes, brown hair.  He lives in Lakewood, Ohio, which is also a suburb of Cleveland and about 15 minutes away from Westlake.  He is 100% Greek and very proud.  He is very stubborn and unlike Matt and Yeketerina he’s a pessimist.  He finds pleasure in arguing and fighting and has a habit of lying.  He is also a friend of Yeketerina’s.  Since Larry is a pessimist he carries a four-inch seriated, stainless steel pocket knife wherever he goes with the exception of school.  Now that you know the characters it is time to start the story.

Larry, Yeketerina, and Matt went to downtown Cleveland to hang out.  They walked around a bit and found themselves in an alley.  Larry split up from them to go to the bathroom.  About a minute after he left, someone jumped Yeketerina and placed a knife on her throat.  He looked around 16-years-old with dark hair.  He said to Matt, “Stay exactly where you are, or I’ll kill her.”

Matt obeyed and stood where he was.  He was wondering why he was doing this but didn’t ask; after all he didn’t want to anger the kid.  Larry was coming back, he saw the guy with Yeketerina, he didn’t see the knife but he saw the expression in Matt’s eyes.  Larry reached into his pocket and pulled out his own knife, he walked slowly and carefully to the man.  The kid then reached down with the hand that wasn’t holding the knife and placed it on Yeketerina’s ass.  Yeketerina shivered and had a desperate look in her eyes.   She was too scared to move.  Matt saw this and felt horrible that he couldn’t do anything but he had faith in Larry. Larry was behind the man and he knew he had to get him to drop the knife so he reached down and slit the kid’s right hamstrings then the left, he knew that the hamstrings were tied for the most painful spot to stab someone.  The kid immediately dropped his knife after the first slice and grabbed his leg in pain.  He didn’t want to lose his hostage though so he grabbed Yeketerina and fell with her and placed his right arm around he throat.  He was still screaming in pain.  Matt was still shocked so he didn’t move because as far as he was concerned the kid still had Yeketerina.  Larry lied down behind him and put the knife to the kid’s neck with his right hand.  With his left hand he covered the kid’s mouth and said, “Let go of her or else your legs won’t be the only thing I slit.”

The kid was not eager to die so he let go of Yeketerina.  Larry wiped the blood off his knife on the kid’s shirt.  Yeketerina then ran toward Matt and hugged and kissed him.  Matt and Yeketerina were kissing each other for about two minutes without releasing their hug.  Larry just stood a few steps back and watched.  His eyes switched from the kid to Matt and Yeketerina.  Matt kept mouthing the words “Thank you” to Larry.  Yeketerina then let go of Matt and walked up and gave Larry a big hug for saving her life.  Matt walked up and extended his right hand, Larry took his right hand off of Yeketerina’s back and shook Matt’s hand.  Yeketerina was still hugging Larry throughout the handshake, which lasted a normal length of a handshake.  She let go of Larry and said, “I owe you my life, I am in your debt.”

Larry responded, “You don’t have to pay me back you’ve already given me what I wanted”

Matt then asked the question that Yeketerina was about to ask which was, “What exactly is that?”

                “I don’t know”

Matt said, “Bullshit you don’t know”

“Just forget it Matt, it’s personal”

“Personal between whom?” he asked suspiciously

                “Me, myself and I”

“Why won’t you tell us, does Yeketerina know?”

“Yeketerina doesn’t know and I’m not telling you because it sounds lame.”

“Since when did you care about that?”

“Ok you have a point there”

“So you’re going to tell us?”

                “No”

                “Give me one good reason”

“Because I want to keep it a secret”

“Ok fair enough” he said with a smile

“You son of a bitch, you know I want to tell you don’t you?”

                “Yes I do”

“Damn it you know me to well,” he said shaking his head

                “I know”

“Ok okay, I have always wanted to save someone’s life.  Because now- for the first time in my life- I can say I feel good about myself, I have a reason to live now.  I can look into the eyes of someone whom I know, and someone who’s life I just saved.  You two don’t know what it’s like.  Tomorrow I may wake up and feel exactly like I’ve been feeling for almost my whole life.  But as of right now, I feel good about myself, and my self-esteem has raised and the appreciation I see in both your eyes right now, makes me feel even better than I would before.”
They then went to Matt’s car, and Matt drove them to his house to hang out.  It was a great day for them.  The thing Matt and Yeketerina didn’t know is that, that wasn’t the first time Larry had saved someone’s life.  Matt knew of other times, but didn’t think of it.  Larry didn’t lie about how he felt though.  Larry knew that he didn’t feel that way because he saved a life.  It was because he had a new story to tell to his girlfriend, and this particular life saving event was the only one his girlfriend knew the person he saved.  Which made it a better story, and she knew Yeketerina would tell her about it since the two of them are good friends.  He also knew that Yeketerina would tell the story better than he would, because girls love talking with explicit details.  Yeketerina and Matt never figured this

Manipulation

This is a story of two cousins, but the story has a moral as the 15-year-old cousin tries to pound into his younger 12-year-old cousin.  People aren’t always what they seem.  Their names are Larry and Kera; Larry is 15 and lives in Cleveland Ohio. Kera is 12 and lives in Brooklyn, New York.  They are second cousins and really good friends.  If you’re not Larry then you will not enjoy this story so stop now.

Larry was visiting his cousin in Brooklyn and they were talking.  Larry then was staring right into Kera’s eyes with a stolid look on his face and determination and seriousness in his eyes.  Kera couldn’t bare it and looked away, Larry took his left hand and using his middle and pointer finger turned Kera’s head back to where it was before looking straight into his eyes and said, “Don’t look away.”

Kera was a little curious and asked suspiciously, “What are you doing?”

                Reading

                “What are you reading?”

                “Your eyes”

                “Why?”

“To see if I’m right and to find the answer to something”

                “Answer to what?”

“You’re the only person I look straight into the eyes and you will tell me why that is because I can’t figure it out so your eyes will tell me”

“Will I know the answer when you figure it out?”

                “No”

She was a little shocked and asked astonished, “Why?”

“Because you won’t understand, I already have the reason but I’m reconfirming it now”

                “Can you please tell….”

Larry covered her mouth with his hand, “That’s enough talking I need to read”

Kera closed her eyes Larry responded, “Don’t close your eyes try not to blink”

There was a long silence and Larry dropped his hand for he knew Kera wouldn’t talk, finally Kera said, “What are you…”

Again cut short by Larry’s hands, it snapped so fast and it shut her up but once he let his hand down Kera blurted out, “Larry you’re scaring me”

Larry said in a serious manner, “exactly”

Again a long silence as Larry stared straight into Kera’s eyes.  Kera didn’t turn for she saw the seriousness in Larry’s eyes and knew she didn’t want to cross him, She broke the silence again whining, “Please stop, I think you already know what you came to find out”

“Larry snapped back harshly, “Shut up and stop talking.”

Kera took a longer than normal blink. When she opened her eyes Larry saw that her eyes had changed according to the mood she was in. Larry then said “You’re really scared now, you used to be just scared and curious at the same time, the curiosity is gone now and you’re completely scared of me.”    Then he yelled out, “Of me! Your cousin! The person you say you trust the person you turn to for help.  Now you aren’t so sure, your scared of me now but you can’t turn your eyes because although you thought I wouldn’t hurt you, but your not as sure as you used to be.  Don’t you see you don’t know me like you think you do.”

Kera started crying and asked, “Why are you doing this to me?”

“Larry again in the yelling voice but this time a little dramatic, “What am I doing to you Kera? Tell me what it is, I wanted to find something out I didn’t mean anything else but the human mind has something animal minds don't and that’s imaginations which cause illusions.  Your illusions are telling you that I’m being psychotic, that I’m manipulating your mind, and that I’m doing this for the sole purpose of torturing you.  That scares you to death, but you have no proof of this.  Your mind made up its own conspiracy and you believe it, and I had to get you in that state, the state of complete fear to find out if I was right.”

Kera saw the seriousness and determination leave from Larry’s eyes as he calmed at the end of his sentence, Kera sighed in relief to this.  She stopped crying and said, “So what was it”

Larry responded dumbly, “What was what?” Although he knew quite well what Kera was referring to.

Kera said, “You know what, why am I the only person you look in the eyes when talking?”

“Indeed I do but don’t start this because I’m not telling you like I said before”

Kera wanted anything but to see that look in Larry’s eyes again.  She let it go and turned away, this time Larry didn’t pull her head back.  She knew it was over.  She went into the bathroom and washed her face.  When she came out Larry said, “I found out that I look at you in the eyes when talking to you because you are the only girl I know that doesn’t cry on someone’s shoulder. That doesn’t hug when seeing someone she hasn’t seen in a while, someone who walks alone.”

Kera just smiled, for now she understood completely why Larry did all those things to her and if you don’t know why, well I warned you not to read this if you weren’t Larry.
